I like the orange, in the last post. I'll try it again! Here is a picture from the triathlon last weekend. This is right before the finish line!
So our summer of busy weekends has begun. This weekend we will spend in sunny, hot Penticton at coach Greg's Legend Coaching training camp. It should be..... well..... fun?
The plan is pretty much ride our bikes into the ground. Then run after that! I think he has planned about 300km or super hilly rides over 3.5 days, supplemented with running, open water swimming and some seminars.
The weekend will be particularly good for me and my ride for Prostate Cancer. I think it will give me a real good idea of how much crotch will feel biking to Saskatchewan. Although my ride will be about 150km more than this weekend, the time on the bike should be pretty close taking into account the wonderful hills in the Okanagan Valley.
I'm pretty excited to do the Ironman Canada bike course. Everybody always talks about it, and since I am no Ironman finisher, I don't really have any idea what is going on. It will be good to climb the infamous Richter Pass on the west side of Osoyoos, and the monstrous Anarchist Mountain on the east side of Osoyoos. This will be my first taste of an open water swim with my new Orca wetsuit, and my first chance to show these Ironfolk some GRIZZLY POWER! Oh, just kidding. No Greg, that wasn't a challenge. Please don't kill me.
I hope everyone has a great long weekend. Be careful, drive safe, train hard. I'm sure I'll have some great pictures and stories next week (if my legs will carry me to the computer after this)!

For some reason, I always confuse the name with Anti-Christ. See if it happens to you. LOL!!
Soak up some Penticton sun and make sure to send some back here! :) :) :)
Awesome race you triathlete!! You are looking like a super fast runner triathlete guy now! That is so great that you are doing this with Leslie. It sounds like you may have caught the triathlon bug!
