Hey everyone,
I know it's been a long time blogging but this one is not my fault, I swear! It's been two weeks since our computer broke and the place I took it to get it fixed hasn't even gave me a quote yet. I've even called and harassed them but still no news! Leslie so kindly brought her work computer home and I can get a quick one done here but the wireless signal sucks and keep fading in and out!
So, what's new? I have made the transition now from powerlifting to triathlon. Things are pretty good, and I'm enjoying it which I have never said about cardio at all in my life! I am still swimming regularly, tonight a 3000m swim in 1 hour 10 minutes. Lots of biking, 7 days in a row in fact, totalling over 5.5 hours. Running, well, it will come! I have two running races at the end of April then that Super Sprint triathlon on May 10.
As most of you probably know, I have decided to do a charity bike ride in July benefiting Prostate Cancer Research here in Calgary. I will be biking from Calgary to Prelate, Saskatchewan, 458 km in 3 days. I have made a new blog for the ride specifically you should check that out: www.458in3.blogspot.com . I hope to raise over $3,000 to benefit the cause. I won't talk much more about that since that is what the other blog is for!
In other news, the Red Baron (my bike) is no more. My awesome sponsor, Top Gun coatings has powder coated my bike for me! It is now called the Green Dragon! It's pretty neat! It is a nickle plating underneath with a lime green coat on top. When you take it outside, the nickle underneath shines through the green so it appears to sparkle! The best part is, it is a custom paint job, which means NO other bike in the world has this color. You can't even buy this color in a store if you wanted to! I'll get some pictures up when I get my computer back, but I still have some decaling to put on before it is complete!
I should go before the Internet cuts out again! I just wanted to let you all know things are great, summer is almost here, and life is good! Hope all your training is rockin' and most of all, I hope I get my computer back soon to get back to regular blogging!
