Hey,
Alright, here are some goals for the race. I don't really do "I hope to try my hardest and really put forth a good effort" type of goals. I prefer numbers.
As coach Greg says you always go into a race with 3 goals. Best case, good case, and last case scenarios. Here they are:
1. Win a medal. Medals go five deep in each age category and I'm always within a couple minutes. I don't care what my time will be, just good enough for a medal!
2. Beat my last year time of 31:25. I walked up the hill on and off which cost me a medal. I was 9th in my age category and was out of 5th place medal standing by 1:05! A sub 29 minute run would make me happy!
3. Steal prizes from the kids! There are a lot of giveaways and last year we cleaned up. 2 hats, socks, and a thermos mug. I'll be happy to go home with something! I know, I'm a jerk.
Oh, the race plan. Gun goes off, I run, I hopefully don't fall over and die on the hill back up. That's pretty much it. I'm going to try and start closer to the front so I don't get stuck behind slow people, and I want to make sure I go slow enough to really push up the hill at the end where I probably lost a couple minutes last year. Also, don't puke. I was close with that last year too!
Talk to you soon!

Hey Chad,
Here is good, friendly, neighbourly event that you might want to consider sometime, the Wasa Triathlon: www.rmevents.com
David (from WOW)
I want to see that medal on Tuesday or whatever prize you rolled someones 10 year old for! Idd rather see you win a prize fair and square, but if not tricker beat bully!
