Dead lungs....

Hey,

Yeah, I'm sick. I woke up on Saturday for Chad and Dad day (I'll get to that later) and I felt like I had a sore throat. I shrug it off, and keep going. It turns out, I still have a sore throat and the matching dry, hacking deep lung cough as well.

Needless to say, there hasn't been much exercise this week. By much, I actually mean none. It sucks. I felt great the last couple of weeks fitting in all my power training and swimming then this hits. I hate January. The good news is I am feeling better today so hopefully after work on Friday I can get a workout in of something!

Like I said before, Saturday was Chad and Dad day. It turns out that dads are hard to buy presents for, mostly because everything they need they just go out and buy it for themselves. This year for Christmas I gave Dad a whole day of activities to do together rather than a physical present.

The day started out at the Aerospace Museum for a guided tour with Allan (in which I owe him HUGE for!). My dad is a big World War buff so this was perfect for him. We planned on spending 3 hours there but didn't end up getting out of there until 4 1/2 hours later! I think we spent about an hour alone playing in the cockpit of the Lancaster Bomber! My brother, Nathan, came along too, so we had some great bonding time, us boys!

After the museum, I took him to Princess Auto with some money to spend. He ended up getting himself a tow rope and some other gadgets. From there, we headed to the Keg for a steak supper. I love the Keg! We had some good conversation and a great meal!

The casino followed the Keg since we had about an hour to kill until we headed to the movie theatre to see Valkrie. It is the Tom Cruise movie about the attempted assassination of Hitler in WWII, so I figured it fit the whole 'war' theme day pretty well. We both had a little snooze in the slow part of the movie but it turned out to be pretty good.

We met Mom and Leslie after for a quick drink, before we split up and headed our own ways, which seemed kind of odd considering we spent about 14 hours together!! All in all, it was a good day, and I'm sure he'll remember it longer than some useless present I would have got him in the other case! Merry Christmas Dad!!!!!

Have a great day everybody!
