Back to the Grind!

Hi Bloggers!

So, it's time. Work starts tomorrow. I'm kind of indifferent about it. I'm definitely not bored of sitting at home and watching movies all day, but I am tired of not being in a routine. It will be good to get back and get my habits back together.

I finally got my butt back into some exercise as well. Tonight Leslie, Greg, and I met up at the Talisman Center to go swimming. I ended up swimming for a good hour. I ended up doing 1700 meters total. I did a warm up set of 100 meters, then got into the main sets. I did another set of 100 m, then 200m then 300m, then 400m. After that I headed back down 300, 200, and 100m increasing the speed as I went down each step. It was pretty good. I could definitely tell I hadn't done it in a couple of weeks though, my shoulders, triceps and abs were burning! The only funny thing is, that every time I got back to the end of the pool, Leslie and Greg would be chatting. Hhhmmmmmm????

When I got home I hopped on the bike for a quick spin too. My legs were pretty tired right off the start, expected I guess. I did a 10 minute warm up then did:
1m @100RPM with equal rest x 3
45 seconds @110 RPM with equal rest x3
30 seconds @ 120 RPM with equal rest x 3

I did 1 set of a 15 second set @ 130 RPM but was done by that point. I finished with a 5 minute cool down and that was lots, I was tired.

Tomorrow should be a easier day at work, a few clients cancelled, so I am going to get my weights done after work for sure. I think I will do some lighter squats and benching but who knows, I'm so unstructured right now!

Happy New Year everyone, it's going to be a great year!
