Crazy!

Hey!

So the first few days of my life with a pet are sure turning out interesting. Right now, the dog is FINALLY sleeping, in her kennel. Thank you Leslie for bringing it to work today and tiring it out! Maybe I'll get some sleep tonight!

I had a client today tell me that raising a puppy is tougher than raising a kid. I believe her! The first day Rexy was great! Slept all day, was calm, only tinkled a moderate amount. Yesterday and today though, somebody switched my calm dog with psyco-excited dog??? It's nuts! The normal thing for it when I get home is go pee outside (or on the floor still once in a while), play with the 7,000 toys she already has in the last 3 days, then sleep and wake up half an hour later for a pee again. Repeat this cycle 12 times. Finally after that, it's go into the kennel she HATES, whimper all night long, driving me insane (and probably all the neighbors), then pee. Hhhhmmmmm. Today especially, it has turned into some crazy dog. It plays, and plays, then plays, and plays, and pees. I tried to keep it from napping since I got home after work to see if it would sleep more tonight and it seems to be working. She is in her kennel sleeping for now what has been 1h 30 mins! Whoo Hoooo!

I had never understood how somebody could love something that isn't a human. I have never had a pet and I didn't get that bond that pet owners share with their pets. Having Rexy though, I'm changed! I love this dog! All I think about at work all day is getting home to see her (and Leslie :) too). I can't wait to take it for a walk and play with it! It's amazing how you can go from liking animals to obsessively loving something so incredibly much in only 3 days! Unbelievable!

I hope everyone is having a great week as I am! Rexy is looking forward to meet all of you as soon as she gets her last shot on Friday morning!

Aw the life of owning a new puppy!! just like what it would be if you have a kid! Makes sense that you have never had a pet because you are still calling Rexy 'it'!

Ha ha ha, Lisa, you are so right! All day at the gym people were telling me that it has a name not 'it'! That's funny!

Even in that sentence before I called her "it"!
